Emotional Regulation

Emotional Regulation is for anyone who has difficulty controlling their emotions or feels that their behaviour is causing chaos in their life. This workshop might be for you if your emotions are affecting your work and personal relationships.

During this weekly workshop, you will learn to handle your responses to strong emotions like frustration, shame, guilt, anger and disappointment. A facilitator will help you understand how emotions affect our behaviour, how to challenge negative thinking and build tolerance to distress, and how to add mindfulness techniques to your everyday life.

Developed using the principles of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, participants will be shown techniques to practice at home in between classes.

Virtual: September 20 to October 25, 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm

In-Person: November 2 to December 7, 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm (mask required)

Please note that this workshop has a cost of $5 to cover printed materials. If you request to have the materials emailed to you to so that you can print them yourself, the $5 fee will be waived. The printed material must be brought to class.
