Early Prenatal Class

This Early Prenatal class was developed to support anyone under 20 weeks into their pregnancy. This educational group highlights how to have a healthy pregnancy and encourages partners or support persons to join in.

During this course, participants will meet a number of clinical professionals to discuss important topics. This includes meeting:

• a Registered Nurse to learn an introduction to prenatal care, what to expect during appointments and common discomforts of pregnancy during this stage;
• a Registered Dietitian to dive into the importance of nutrition including micronutrients like folic acid and calcium, how to have a balanced meal, and the myths of foods during pregnancy;
• an Exercise Specialist who will explain the role of physical activity during pregnancy, explore a way to get active and provide some recommendations.

Format: Currently offered virtually only.

Cost: Free.

Time commitment: One class for 90 minutes.
