B.E.S.T. Breastfeeding Cafe

The B.E.S.T. Breastfeeding Café is a community group providing support to mothers along all stages of their nursing journey. This weekly group is facilitated by specially trained lactation nurses who are available to help you with any questions or concerns you may have when it comes to lactation, latch, adjusting position, and anything nursing related.

Hear from other moms about their experiences and how to connect to resources within the community. In addition, once a month a guest speaker will join the B.E.S.T. Breastfeeding Café to discuss topics like:
- Mental health and postpartum
- Introducing solids to toddlers
- Mom’s nutritional needs
- Pelvic floor health
- Self-care and mood
- Relationships after having a baby
- Getting active in the postpartum period
- Tips for healthy parenting
- Pandemic planning
- Reducing risk during COVID-19

Pandemic Parenting Series of 6 Sessions

  1. Self care during the pandemic
  2. Reducing your risk- how to stay safe during a pandemic
  3. Relationship rescue- how to communicate with others
  4. Exercise after pregnancy
  5. Nutrition for breastfeeding Mom, and transition to solids
  6. Sleep deprivation and how to manage

Format: Currently offered virtually only.

Cost: Free.

Time commitment: Every Wednesday morning for 90 minutes.

Important note: This group fills up quickly with parents and babies and unfortunately doesn’t have space for siblings to attend.
